At 50km tall, The Shore Sky Tower is the second tallest building in Melaka. A truly captivating experience, head on to the 43rd floor and walk on the rooftop. While there is perimeter fencing to ensure your safety, those afraid of heights should refrain from looking down, as the deck is constructed entirely from glass! The exhilarating tourist spot lets you use their telescope to check out some of Melaka's attractions, or take in the panoramic views of the whole city.

Not to be mistaken for an actual house with orangutans, The Orangutan House was originally established in 1993 as a studio-gallery belonging to artist Charles Cham, which primarily houses colourful paintings. Over time, it has now been revamped into a quirky little shop that sells art pieces and T-shirts designed by Charles. The most notable attraction of this place, however, is the giant mural plastered across the side of the building where the store is located in. As of today, it is one of the most recognisable buildings in Melaka City.

If you're stopping by the sky tower, you might as well pay a visit to the equally intriguing The Shore Oceanarium. Opened in 2015, the oceanarium has been described as a fun and educational place for adults and kids alike. From an interactive touch pool where you can interact with different species of fish to a section of the locale called "River Story", which displays a variety of piranha fishes, there's even a 3D movie theatre where you can put on cool colour-coded glasses to look at some fish.

Unlike your standard locale, Upside Down House Melaka has all their fixtures and fittings upside down! One of the more family-friendly attractions on the list, the sheer possibility of stepping into this house would be a source of intrigue for many. Designed by China's state-owned Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, Encore Melaka is a state-of-the-art theatre that seats more than 2,000 individuals, and offers up a viewing experience that is purely unforgettable. Making world history, the stage is the longest in existence for Southeast Asia, being a whopping 240 meters long. Equipped with projection mapping and dynamic lighting, an impeccable feature of the theatre is the 360-degree rotating auditorium with multiple stages. By moving through the rotating auditorium, you won't just be a passive viewer, but an active performer in the setup too.

Often said to resemble Dubai, the popularity of Klebang Beach stems from the presence of sand dunes that enhance this sandy seaside to something a little more interesting than other beaches. A 20-minute drive from Melaka City, there's no reason why you can't include Klebang Beach on your itinerary for a fun and exciting trip. For all the beach bums, the appeal is obvious. But for those looking for something to keep themselves preoccupied, some people even come to fish by the ocean. Contrary to what our headline stipulates, this A'Famosa is not the heritage building rich in coloniser history. Instead, it's one of the biggest water parks in Malaysia. Experience thrilling rides through the Hulala, Inner Tube Slide, and High Speed attractions, or take a sultry swim down the Family Raft. If water isn't really your friend, go to the Safari Wonderland instead, and get the chance to see wildlife up and close, including monkeys, elephants, and tigers. Okay we admit — this isn't exactly a location to 'visit' in Melaka. Yet the charm and inherent appeal of a good trishaw ride is bound to send anyone into a spiral of excitement. Difficult to argue against, trishaws will take you through streets and between nooks and crannies that cover every corner of Melaka. If you choose to venture out on your own, it may cost you more. But if you want to sit back and enjoy the full tourist experience, you know what to do!
