US badminton player Esther Shi appeared starstruck when Malaysian shuttler Lee Zii Jia approached her at the Thomas and Uber Cup in Chengdu, China

According to Stadium Astro, the 23-year-old US athlete competed in the tournament on the court next to Lee during his final match in Group D against Denmark at the Chengdu High-Tech Zone Sports Center on Tuesday, 30 April.

In a video posted by SPOTV SEA, Shi is seen wiping her sweat in the resting area while Lee walks towards her, possibly to retrieve his gear.

At that moment, Shi seems to glance at Lee, her gaze fixed on the Malaysian shuttler as she picks up her bag.

The video has garnered over 1.1 million views on Instagram in less than two days, with thousands of netizens adoring Shi's expression of awe
