Krabby Patty, Ratatouille & 5 More Iconic Dishes From TV And Film Recreated By A YouTuber

Andrew Rea did, and he decided to do something about it.

On his YouTube cooking channel Binging with Babish, the American filmmaker teaches his four million subscribers how to recreate iconic food featured in film, television, anime, and video games.

In May of 2017, Rea decided that it was time to make "the all time most requested dish on this show" - Krusty Krab's Krabby Patty from 'Spongebob Squarepants'.

As the burger is "a thing of pop culture culinary legend", the recreation process involved "a bit of science, a bit of whimsy, and a whole lot of wanton conjecture".

In case you were wondering, the chef theorises as to what the mysterious secret ingredient is!

If you're a 'Friends' fan, then you've definitely wished you could try the Thanksgiving 'Moistmaker' sandwich that led Ross to having a mental breakdown in front of his boss.

Must be insanely delicious to be worth risking his job for!

On the inspiration for the episode, the YouTuber wrote that, "I never watched 'Friends' but I couldn't Google 'thanksgiving sandwiches in television and film' without getting about a billion Ross Geller references."

In another iconic Thanksgiving episode of 'Friends', Rachel mistakenly follows two different recipes when trying to make dessert, resulting in half an English trifle and half a shepherd's pie.

While Joey proclaimed, "What's not to like? Jam? Good! Custard? Good! Meat? Good!" in the episode, Rachel's finished product apparently "tastes like feet" to everyone else.

This might be why Rea spent the second half of the video making an "edible version" of Rachel's Trifle.

Even the evil food critic couldn't help but soften up (and be transported back to his childhood) after taking a bite.

Rea tried his hand at Ratatouille (or more accurately, Confit Byaldi, which is a "modern spin" on the dish) to find out if it was "worth staking an entire restaurant's reputation upon for the sake of a pun."

In 'Forrest Gump', the main character's best friend Bubba lists down a multitude of ways to cook and eat shrimp.

His monologue about the fruit of the sea was so inspiring, it led to the establishment of American food chain Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant and Market.

In his video, Rea takes us through the processes of peeling, deveining, baking, broiling, boiling, and frying shrimp.

He then makes creamy shrimp salad, crispy coconut shrimp, and luscious shrimp gumbo. "Join me as I embark upon the first few dishes on the illustrious list dreamt up by everyone's best good friend," the chef wrote in the video's description.

"Strip down to your undies, strap on an apron, and let's clog some arteries."

This is how the chef warned viewers about Homer Simpson's moon waffles, which only requires caramel, waffle batter, liquid smoke, and a stick of butter (which he - wait for it - wraps the waffle around!)

Acknowledging that Homer's recipe may be a little much, Rea also includes a recipe for a more edible version.

Jake's masterpiece of a meal, which he claimed is "the greatest sandwich I've ever made," took him on a spiritual journey in the sandwich-centric episode.

Ingredients like a lobster's soul would probably do that to you.

"Scholars have attempted to crack the code to the perfect sandwich for millennia - in the end, it was Jake the Dog who finally achieved the zenith of wichcraft," the description read.

Don't worry Jake fans, Rea didn't forget the two tablespoons of tears!
