This 21-Year-Old Artist From Penang Creatively Turns Wild Animals Into Food Hybrids

A Malaysian artist is garnering attention after a netizen's tweet showcasing some of his quirky digital images went viral

The netizen posted three photos on Twitter on 30 June with the caption, "Who edited this hahaha editing skills level 9999."

The tweet garnered over 38,000 retweets at the time of writing.

The subjects of the graphic work are wild animals in their natural habitats. However, the creatures are edited to look like hybrids of food and fruits.

In response to the viral tweet, another netizen revealed that the artist responsible for the photos is 21-year-old Ronald Ong.

According to Behance, the "self-learned digital artist" is a medical student from Penang.

The surreal photos are part of the young Malaysian's #HybridSeries. Here are some of his popular artwork:
