Internet Sensation Moo Deng Will Help To Raise Money For Charity Project In Thailand

Besides stealing our hearts with her playful antics, Moo Deng the adorable baby pygmy hippo has also become a fundraising queen for flood victims and animal welfare across Thailand

The Zoological Park Organization of Thailand (ZPOT) announced that as many as 38 agencies in Thailand will launch official products and campaigns under a charity project, featuring the adorable Moo Deng.

Through this project, all proceeds will be donated to help flood victims and improve the welfare of animals in six zoos under the organisation's care. The six zoos are Khao Kheow Zoo, Chiang Mai Zoo, Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo, Songkhla Zoo, Ubon Ratchathani Zoo, and Khon Kaen Zoo.

Among the 38 agencies participating in the project, state enterprise Thailand Post will release stamps and postcards, while telecom company Advanced Info Service (AIS) will produce T-shirts and Line stickers, all inspired by Moo Deng.

Besides that, Singaporean game developer Garena will feature Moo Deng as an exclusive in-game collectible in their mobile battle royale game, Free Fire

In partnership with ZPOT, Garena will be releasing exclusive wearables and equipment featuring the lovable hippo. Players can easily obtain these items for free by participating in a series of fun in-game activities as early as November.

The game company will also be donating 150,000 baht (approximately RM19,507) to the Moo Deng charity project.
