China's most chaotic good boy, Fu Zai the corgi cop, is back in the spotlight — this time for nicking a sausage from a kid during patrol

While on duty on 26 April, Fu Zai spotted a juicy grilled sausage in a child's hand, took one confident bite, and strutted off without a shred of remorse — all while the crowd around him burst into laughter.
The moment was caught on video and went viral on Douyin (China's version of TikTok).
No worries though — the little girl's mum later said that she finished the rest of her snack without a fuss.

Fu Zai's trainer later issued an apology, saying that the corgi had been "formally scolded" for breaking the golden rule of not accepting food from the public
This isn't Fu Zai's first rodeo when it comes to bending the rules.
Earlier this year, he made headlines for napping on the job and peeing in his food bowl — antics that reportedly cost him his year-end bonus of snacks and toys.
Still, despite his mischief, Fu Zai remains a beloved national treasure
One person commented, "The height of the sausage was just right for Fu Zai. How could he resist?"
Another wrote, "With a dog as cute as Fu Zai, how could anyone stay mad?"
Since joining the force in late 2024, Fu Zai has been on patrol duty, worked major events like the Weifang International Kite Festival, and won the hearts of over 400,000 fans online with his big smile, tiny legs, and endless charm.
To make amends, Fu Zai and his trainers visited the little girl's kindergarten with gifts, sausages, and a Fu Zai-themed care package
According to South China Morning Post, the little girl's mum's response was pure gold: "I hope both Fu Zai and my daughter grow up healthy and happy."
