Ronny Chieng Dedicates Emmy Award To Grandma Who Passed Away In Malaysia On The Same Day
He thanked her for taking care of him and loving him.
US-based Malaysian comedian and actor Ronny Chieng recently won an Emmy for his work on The Daily Show, marking a significant milestone in his career
In a heartfelt social media post, Chieng thanked former hosts Jon Stewart and Trevor Noah, as well as his family for their support.

He also dedicated the award to his late grandmother, who passed away in Malaysia on the very morning of the Emmy Awards
"My beloved grandmother passed away in Malaysia the morning of the Emmy's, so I would like to dedicate this to her for taking care of me and loving me. And for her hopes and best wishes for me. Here's to dreaming far-fetched dreams for our elders. Love you, popo", wrote the Johor Bahru-born comedian.
